Hotel Du Commerce - Houffalize

The rooms are not equipped with air conditioning, which could be tough during hot weather. There were significant noise issues from delivery trucks outside, and the outdated bathroom showed signs of wear, not matching the expectations of a four-star hotel. Finding parking was a hassle, forcing some guests to park far from the hotel.

Delicious and nice breakfast with variety of options, adorable and fairly clean place. Fine rooms with exceptionally comfortable beds, climate control, a mini bar, and a TV set. Nice experience there...

The breakfast was absolute luxury with a wide selection, with fresh breads, warm croissants, and even sparkling wine! I enjoyed the on-site restaurant's delicious local dishes like the Italian Steak, cooked to perfection. The relaxing spa area, equipped with a huge hot tub and sauna, was the perfect way to unwind after our day of cycling!

Excellent half-board dining!

The location is lovely, nestled in the charming village atmosphere. The breakfast offered a wide variety, including fresh breads, croissants, and scrambled eggs. Spa facilities, though excellent, required no bathing suit. My room had a unique cooking smell, likely from the kitchen vent right outside the window, a drawback. Staff seemed friendly, but the lady at check-in could be a bit rude. Dinner options were limited, and the maintenance issues were noticeable, like the air conditioning not functioning properly. The experience felt mixed but had some highlights.

A charming stay in the Ardennes

Waking up to the scent of the kitchen was a nice touch, and staff were warm and accommodating. Dinner at the hotel reminded me of home-cooked meals, simple yet good.

Unfortunately, the lack of air conditioning made our room uncomfortable during hot days. Plus, noise from outside and some parking challenges diminished the experience a bit.

The superior room was comfortable and had decent wifi. Enjoyed delicious home-cooked meals and the little cellar for bike storage was a great touch.

The breakfast spread was generous. Quality ingredients made for a good start to the day. The staff were helpful and the cozy garden area provided a serene retreat after our adventures.

Cozy stay in a charming town

The half-board food was pretty tasty, especially the dinners. The staff was friendly and helpful, but they could rush a bit at times. The location was gorgeous, surrounded by forests, just lovely. Only issue? Some of the rooms felt a bit dated. Still, nice vibes overall.

I was very impressed with the double room that had a great view. I particularly enjoyed having dinner at the restaurant.
